Rose started first grade today!
Maybe before she graduates we’ll figure out how to make a sign that you can actually read on camera. At least she has a handy helper to hold that heavy sign.
She seemed to have a pretty good day, and she is excited to be reunited with her old pal, Porter. They are in the same class. Fingers crossed it’s a great year!
These two monkeys are going to camp together for three mornings this week at the preschool where Mae will go in the fall. It was Mae’s first time being dropped off anywhere and she did great! And Rose gets to play “counselor” as one of the oldest kids. Everybody wins!
Rose had her last day of kindergarten last week.
First Day of Kindergarten
Last Day of Kindergarten
It was a great year, with an amazing teacher. She is moving to a new school next year where she will be reunited with her old pal Porter, so that’s exciting. Hooray for summer!
We had a great weekend. Yesterday we picked strawberries.
Mae preferred to just play in a puddle.
Today Dan and the girls launched rockets in the yard, went for a long scooter ride with Rose, ate frozen yogurt, and ate strawberries at least three times. Such a great dad!! Lucky girls.
Watermelon and ice chips on the deck after school! Rose has 2 more weeks of kindergarten. Let’s see if Mom is even more emotional on the last day than she was on the first. Weee!
We had a great day! We did stuff! In the absence of any major plans for the long weekend, we have been on a mission to see a new park/playground every day. Today was a fun one!
